Product Summary
The Sanus VMPL250B is a top rated fixed TV wall mount with an ultra low profile of less than 1.5" that can handle 24" stud spacing and load capacities of up to 130lbs. It's made from solid heavy-gauge steel and comes with enough bolts, spacers and anchors to make any DIY enthusiast happy.

Out of the box the mount itself consists of just four pieces. The wall plate, two vertical struts that attach to the back of your TV and a retaining bar that slides between the struts and the wall plate to prevent the TV from being moved. Be aware that if you plan on using this make sure you have enough side clearance to insert the retaining bar (you'll need about 30"). There is also a hole at one end of the bar where you can insert a padlock for additional security. This could prove handy if the TV will be in a public area.

The flexible 29" wide wall plate can accommodate studs from 12"-24", a big help if you happen to have non-standard spacing. You also get some generous lateral adjustment to help center the TV on the wall if the studs are not conveniently in the right position.

If you plan on installing a display that is less than 40" double check the overall width of the outside case to make sure it is wide enough to conceal the wall plate. Otherwise the mount will be visible from the front viewing position.

One of the advantages of a fixed TV wall mount is the very low profile. The VMPL250B is no exception with a wall clinging 1.25" that produces a sleek, aesthetically pleasing look.

Unfortunately the low profile design does come with a few downsides. The most troublesome is usually the rear connections to the TV. With very little gap between the wall and TV, getting the various plugs in place can be frustrating.

There are two workarounds to this problem. The first is to simply move the TV away from the wall slightly using a few spacers attached to the struts. This will increase the profile and may not be the look you wanted. An alternative is to buy "L" style (right angle) connectors.

In either case the install will go smoother if you can make the connections before hanging the TV. If you don't have an assistant handy you can hang the TV on the top rail of the wall plate first then tilt the bottom away from the wall to create enough room to insert the plugs.

The Sanus VMPL250B is a high quality TV wall mount that is both flexible and sturdy and at a price that even your spouse will love.
